Darryl had nothing to do with the track change and does not endorse it.

well I know you had to move the loop the reason it was were it was is because we had problems with it getting broke so all I can say is you all better hope nothing happens to it we had this discussion last a couple of weekend ago and that's why it wasn't moved then. for those of you who don't know if anything happens to the loop you are done it can not be spliced or soldered. Not trying to be a pain just had all these problems before and we are getting to the to many fingers in the cookie jar. we will see

We did move the loop, but it was just moved around the corner to the side of the driver's stand. This didn't require anything weird to do. If that caused the loop to stop working, then there was already a problem with the loop, and we should consider replacing it. That may be the reason we were already having so many problems with the computer losing connections with the loop in the middle of the race!

I will be showing up on today or wednesday, I'll have Darryl boot up the computer and we'll test it out to make sure it works.

(BTW, you posted this is the wrong article. )

We need to be VERY careful how we deal with tgar timing system. Last blush it was almost 5000$ to get it replaced and the shop cannot afford to replace it right now. That loop isn't cheap either and it was where it was because it was finiky. It is almost 20 years old and we really shouldn't move it until we can afford to fix it if it breaks.

We are having enough issues w/ the jlaps system as it stands and jlaps says its the ambrc timing system, I can't confimr it Is but messing with it isn't going to help us w/ making it work.

A little history that system was only produced for 6mos so if it goes there is no repairing it or used replacement and amb won't upgrade a 20 y/o system.

I appreciate the initiative being shown but please don't make changes that affect that timing loop. If it breaks we are back to clickers on a piece of wood.
