Cup car questions 6 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Tory...

I have a question. Finally was able to race my cup car for the first time on Saturday. VERY Fun!!! Although I had major car problems nagging me all nite. Those stupid little cup things keep "popping" out when I hit a wall! Now I know I am not supposed to hit walls but alot of the incidents were not very hard and I saw other cars in different classes all hit walls alot harder and keep on going...Is this just a weak point on the car?

But my main question is.... After the first heat, my steering servo died. Is this normal? I mean it probably had less then 50 laps under it's belt. Luckily, someone lent me a servo for the nite. I forget your name but... THANKS ALOT...you guys are great!!!

Some times the metal crossbrase that holds the rubber cup gets bent out make sure they are still strate, as for the servo i use another servo saver right on the servo and have no problem know

Hey Brent! Are you talking about the rubber gromets that the hinge pins fit in? Remember your rear metal hinge pin support is bent? We were looking at it Saturday. also I have a servo or 2 that you can have.

I just noticed that my cup car is now just rear wheel drive. Is this a bad thing? The coupling that connects to the drive shaft has sheered at the front gearbox. The coupling turns but the gear that is supposed to be attached inside the pumpkin doesn't. I was wondering why the handling was worse than normal. Does the shop have parts????

Tory, does the shop have that copper colored mount for the rubber gromets in stock? (It's the rearward one of the front suspension.) If not can you order me one?

Glitch...thanx...You don't have to give me the servo for free...let me know how much you want for it. And by you saying you have a couple......What do you think? I will be going thru them like crazy???? LOL

I should be in for a little bit on Saturday, but cannot race as it is date nite with my girlfriend. I haven't yet discovered the secret of bailing out of that to race yet!
